AEROPHILE awarded “Meilleur Ouvrier de France Honoris Causa”
AEROPHILE was awarded the title of “Meilleur Ouvrier de France Honoris Causa” for its contribution to the Olympic cauldron for the Paris 2024 Games, created in collaboration with EDF, Mathieu Lehanneur, Atelier blam and Belle environnement.
The award recognizes exceptional collective work, combining engineering and creativity in the service of a powerful symbol: the Olympic flame.
In all, some fifty people took part in the adventure of the Olympic balloon and its electric flame, made of water vapor and lit by LEDs.
In addition to designing this unique balloon, Aerophile was also responsible for operating this Olympic symbol for the duration of the Games. Every evening, Aerophile’s teams lifted the Olympic cauldron into the Parisian sky from the Tuileries Gardens, thrilling the thousands of spectators who gathered to admire it.
