You can continue your historical visit of things "lighter than air" by going to the Air & Space museum at Le Bourget, where since April 1995, 2 rooms are consecrated to "balloon" objects, artists and artisans' works of the 18th and 19th centuries.
The first room of the 18th century exhibits extremely precious articles inspired by the infatuation that followed the 1783 invention by the Montgolfier brothers.
We find here, intermixed with other articles, engravings, oil paintings, stoneware, porceline, furniture, boxes, jewelry, pendants and fans.
The 19th century, dedicated to industry, shows the balloon in festivals and spectacles but also as a scientific and military instrument. It is during this era that inventors tried to direct the direction thanks to vapor, electric and explosion motors.
Therefore, we will see you at the Air & Space museum at Le Bourget half way between Paris and Chantilly.
AEROPHILE S.A. would like to thank the Air & Space museum and especially General Siffre and Mister Alain Degardin.
